In 1980’s I rarely heard any pirate radio stations. Nowadays, it seems there are many more independent (and maybe illegal) radio stations in than legal broadcasters in the short waves. Hobbyists keep the short waves alive!
Today, I listened to Laser Hot Hits in 6205 kHz for twenty minutes. The reception was good, even if the signal strength wasn’t quite stable.
